Phase 1: Planning
- Define clients needs, objectives, and problems to be solved.
- Present a Project Proposal and Agreement for client’s approval.
- Create a Design Brief for client’s approval.
Phase 2: Concept Development
- Visual solutions are pursued to meet stated objectives.
- Present 1st Round Comps (3 to 5 ideas that are viable, appropriate, and meet the prescribed criteria).
- Present 2nd Round Comps (if 1st Round Comps didn’t meet prescribed criteria).
Phase 3: Design Development
- Refine accepted design to determine general format, typography, color, other element, and the assignment of illustration and/or photography.
- Present Final Comps for client’s approval.
- Any changes in budget and/or schedule are agreed upon at this point.
Phase 4: Design Implementation
- Decisions on all related art direction, including commissioned illustrations, photography, typography, copywriting, layouts or digital files, and and all other elements, are final at this point.
- Final Designs are created and presented to client for approval.
